Base Building
In a first playthrough, the most practical approach is usually a simple pile or shelter in a safe location. With all essential workstations placed nearby. This provides easy access to crafting and progression without requiring a complex setup or build early on. Especailly while learning the mechanics of Vault Hunters.
As progression continues, bases are often expanded into more structured layouts. Common designs include separated areas for:
- Gear modifying and crafting
- Crystal crafting
- The Black Market
- Delooting and item identification
- Card pack opening, deck creation, usw. (only accessible after level 50)
The most improtant thing to remember is: Functional zones are optional and merely represent a common approach, but they are not required in any way. Base building is fully open ended, allowing complete freedom of design. Creativity can and should be expressed without restriction and every base can be shaped entirely according to personal style and preference.
