Companion Egg Hunt

How It Works
The Egg Hunt event can occur once per vault run. The sequence is:
- 25% Chance: Each vault run has a 1 in 4 chance of activating the egg hunt.
- Random Time: If chosen, the game picks a random moment between 5 minutes after the start and the last 5 minutes of the vault.
- XP Requirement: At that time, the game checks whether the player has collected the required XP. If yes, the egg appears.
If the check is failed, the game continues to monitor the XP until the requirement is met.
Restrictions: This event does not occur in:
- Royale Vaults
- Greed Vaults
- Herald Vaults
- Ascension Vaults
- PvP Vaults
- Raid Vaults
Note: your companion will also not work in these vaults.
XP Requirement
The XP you need is based on three parts:
Base Value
- Vault Level Γ 1000
Modifiers
- Crystal Modifiers and Companion Modifiers (not braziers): each increases the XP required by 20%
- Inscriptions: each increases the XP required by 10%
- Random Bonus: adds 0β25% XP

Pity System
If the player did not find a companion egg in previous vaults, the XP requirement is gradually reduced, making it easier to find one in later runs.
How to look after a Companion
Hatching Companion Eggs
Craft a Companion Incubator, insert the egg, and wait until the timer finishes.
Companion Incubator
Once a Companion hatches, place it in a block called Companion Home. You can then right-click the Companion to add relics and particles.
Companion Home
Healing
Craft a Companion Snack, then sneak + right-click your pet in the home block to heal one heart. Additionally on the levels 4, 7, 9 and 10 the Companion gains an extra life. With the max therefore being five hearts. These hearts can not be healed any other way.
Companion Snack
- Note: Retired companions cannot be healed.
Companion Leveling, Cooldown and Temporal Modifiers
Companions level up based on XP earned at the end of the vault. After leveling up, they enter cooldown. The duration of the Temporal Modifier scales with the level as well.
Level | XP Required | Cooldown | Temporal Modifier Duration (s) |
---|---|---|---|
1 | 0 | 20β60 min | 60 |
2 | 10,000 | 24β72 min | 90 |
3 | 25,000 | 28β84 min | 120 |
4 | 50,000 | 32β96 min | 150 |
5 | 125,000 | 36β108 min | 180 |
6 | 250,000 | 40β120 min | 240 |
7 | 500,000 | 44β132 min | 300 |
8 | 1,000,000 | 48β144 min | 360 |
9 | 3,000,000 | 52β156 min | 480 |
10 | 6,000,000 | 56β168 min | 600 |
Companion Modifiers and Relics
