Hunt the Runes
Unlock Condition: Available on any crystal after reaching Vault Level 50. You can set a crystal to this objective using the Seal of the Executioner.
Objective Overview
Your goal is to find a set of runes and apply them to a Rune Boss Pillar to summon and defeat a powerful boss.
- Find Runes: Locate the required number of runes scattered throughout the Vault.
- Apply Runes: Insert each rune into the Rune Boss Pillar.
- Summon the Boss: Once all runes are inserted, right-click the pillar with an empty hand to spawn the boss.
- Confrontation: Upon spawning the boss, the room seals shut, the timer stops, and you must defeat it.
β οΈ Important: The room is locked during the boss fight. You cannot leave the Vault until you either die or kill the boss.
Rune Mechanics
Each rune you apply modifies the boss's stats and adds a reward to your completion crate.
- Boss Modifiers:
- Increased HealthΒ %
- Increased Attack Damage
- Increased Ability Haste (determines how frequently the boss uses abilities)
- Player Reward: Adds a specific reward item to the final completion crate.
Boss Ultimate Attacks
As you add more runes, the boss gains powerful ultimate abilities:
- 20 Runes: Boss gains the Shielded ability.
- 40 Runes: Boss gains the Blast Wave ability.
- 60 Runes: Boss gains the Phoenix ability (the boss will resurrect upon defeat).
- Every 20 Runes after 60: The Phoenix ability triggers again.
Rewards
The rewards from each rune are accumulated and awarded in the completion crate after you successfully defeat the boss. Potential rewards include:
