Most mods in Vault Hunters are locked behind Research. The player can find Knowledge Essence inside living chests and craft Knowledge Stars with some Vault Diamonds and Benitoite.

After right clicking a Knowledge Star in the air the player receive one unspent knowledge point. Those points can be spent inside the Research tab.

Stack Upgrading Stack Upgrades increases the amount of items that can be stored in a single slot.
Auto Refill Refill Upgrades can automatically refill your hotbar with your selected blocks and/or items.
Auto Feeding Feeding Upgraded can automatically feed you directly from your pouches, belts & backpacks and removes the need to eat food manually.
Double Pouches Unlocks the ability to craft Double Pouches, which offers more storage space and one more upgrade slot than Pouches.
