Once you passed into a vault you will be presented with a variety of rooms. These are connected via a tunnel you can walk, run or fly through.
The room types are:
| Starter Room | This is the room you enter and sometimes exit through. When you first load into a vault the timer will not start until you have exited this room | ||

| Common Rooms | These are the most common rooms within the vault and have a mixture of ore and chest loot | ||
| Ore Room | These room contains only ores. | ||
| Challenge Room | These contain a variety of guardian mobs and loot | ||
| Omega Room | These are the rarest type of room and contain large amounts of loot without the trouble of any mobs |
Omega and Challenge rooms can be forced onto a crystal using Inscriptions in the crystal workbench.
