Vault Mobs are hostile entities that spawn exclusively within Vaults. They are a core component of the Vault Hunters mod, designed to challenge players through increasingly dangerous encounters that scale with progression. Unlike standard Minecraft mobs, Vault Mobs possess unique statistics, resistances, and behaviours, making them a central element of Vault gameplay.

When fighting and killing Vault Mobs, players will receive Soul Shards, which can be used to purchase items from the Black Market Table.

Mob Types:

  • Hordes – Spawn in large numbers, with low health and damage.
  • Dwellers – Appear in smaller numbers but deal high damage. They can also spawn from trapped chests.
  • Assassins – Have moderate health but inflict high damage to players.
  • Tanks – Possess high health and unique mechanics that may affect the player when hit, when in range, or allow the mob to heal.
  • Champions – Deal high damage and can either buff themselves and nearby mobs or debuff the player.
  • Guardians – Found in Challenge Rooms, guarding valuable resources.
  • Elites – Highly challenging mobs with unique mechanics, guarding exclusive rewards.
