Augments are items used to set a vaults Theme. You can get Augments at a 20-25% chance when opening a completion crate. When getting an Augment, it will alwasy be of the theme the vault had.
Themes will affect mob spawns, room spawns and will also affect the loot in the vaults. All of these perks can be seen when hovering an augment.
Mobs can spawn in different amounts as shown when hovering over the augments. The more filled the bar is the more of the mobs spawn. There are 4 different stages and for simplicity, the table uses stage labels instead of a progress bar:

You can also craft a Chaos Augment. This augment applies a random theme to every room and tunnel within a Vault.
