Chromatic Iron Ore generates in the Overworld below y-30. It is usually found in chunks and can be mined by pickaxes of iron quality and above.
Chromatic Iron when mined will drop 1 Raw chromatic iron but is impacted by fortune to allow for a chance of dropping 1-4 raw ore. In addition it is impacted by the Fortune Expertise to allow between 1-6 raw ore to be dropped.
In addition to the Overworld Chromatic iron ore can be found in the Chromatic caves during the vault however the ore is not impacted by copiously on your tool.
