In Hunt the Runes your objective is to find runes and apply them to a rune boss pillar. Each rune will have different negative modifier, and a different reward item. Once the player has inserted the correct amount of runes. The player can right click the boss pillar with an empty hand to spawn the boss. Upon spawning the boss the room will close and the timer will stop. The player can’t leave the vault without either dying or killing the boss.
After level 50 this can be rolled randomly on any crystal. You can set the objective of a crystal to this using the Seal of the Executioner.
Each rune rewards items and the will be added to the completion crate. Some of those items can include gear, focus, inscriptions, trinkets and gold.

Each Rune inserted will always add extra health and another negative modifier.

- Buff Effect
