Focus

Focus commonly found in Ornate Chests it can be inserted in the Artisan Station to shape your gear.

There are common and exotic foci, with common doing the basic needs (e.g., adding, removing, ...) while exotics focuses are able to do far more powerful things (e.g. resetting the crafting potential, corruptins, ...).

Wild Focus Can be used to reroll all Prefixes and Suffixes randomly. Common in Ornate Chests
Amplifying Focus Can be used to add a new random modifier. Common in Ornate Chests, can be crafted from 9x Wild Focus (→ 3x Amplifying)
Nullifying Focus Can be used to remove a random modifier. Common in Ornate Chests, can be crafted from 9x Amplifying Focus (→ 3x Nullifying)
Chaotic Focus Can be used to modify the tier of a random modifier. Black Market, Scavenger Crates, Elixir Crates
Waxing Focus Can be used to reroll all Prefixes. Uncommon in Ornate Chests, also Treasure Sand, Black Market, Scavenger Crates, Elixir Crates, Ornate Barrels in Dungeons
Waning Focus Can be used to reroll all Suffixes. Uncommon in Ornate Chests, also Treasure Sand, Black Market, Scavenger Crates, Elixir Crates, Ornate Barrels in Dungeons
Fundamental Focus Can be used to reroll all Implicits. Uncommon in Ornate Chests, also Black Market, bounty rewards, Scavenger Crates, Elixir Crates, Ornate Barrels in Dungeons
Resilient Focus Can be used to reroll base Durability. Black Market, Challenge Rooms

Exotic Foci

Cryonic Focus Can be used to freeze a random modifier. For a Cryonic Foci to work all affixes need to be filled. Black Market, some Challenge Rooms
Pyretic Focus Can be used to improve the rarity of vault gear. Black Market, some Challenge Rooms
Opportunistic Focus Can be used to reset the crafting potential. Black Market, some Challenge Rooms, bounty rewards, Ornate Barrels in Dungeons
Vorpal Focus Can be used to improve a modifier to a new tier - reroll all modifiers and corrupting it - does nothing and corrupts the gear - adds +1 level to a random ability. Black Market, some Challenge Rooms
Adaptive Focus Can be used to Upgrade gear to your current level taking 1 repair slot. Only by destroying Omega rarity gear in the Vault Recycler

A special Focus found by recycling gear using a Recycler adding a modifier to either prefix or suffix needing an empty slot depending on what you plan to add (e.g., Armor needs an empty prefix).
