The objective is to fill a purple bar at the top of your screen. After level ___ this can be rolled randomly on a crystal that has not been modified with a seal (Hyperlink).

You can set the objective of a crystal to an Elixir Hunt using the Seal of the Sage

Different looting or killing actions result in points towards the objective goal. The number of points you need is randomly rolled (from * to * ) but gets significantly higher past level 50.

Purple balls appear when you open a chest, kill a mob or mine an ore. Their size indicates how many points you get for an action.

The player must specifically hunt the omega-roll (biggest ball) to complete the task easily. Killing a Tank-Mob (Hyperlink) is always an omega-roll and gives the player the maximum number of points towards the objective. There is at least one additional omega-roll in every elixir hunt.

These are all the actions you can get points from:
Looting Actions Killing Actions Actions which do not contribute to the objective
Wooden Chests Horde Mobs Killing Guardians
Gilded Chests Assasin Mobs Opening Treasure doors
Ornate Chests Dweller Mobs Mining Treasure Sand
Living Chests Tank Mobs Killing a miniboss
Coin piles Opening a Unique Crate
Ores
